Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a government location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, public contacts, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance, access, and other security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, verify approved access when required, and document daily activities, observations, and incident details in accordance with post instructions.
Support emergency response activities, provide directions and assistance to the public, and follow Allied Universal standards along with site-specific government location procedures.
