Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support visitors and staff with strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, public contacts, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance, access, and other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, verify approved access when required, and document daily activities, observations, and incident details in accordance with post instructions.
  • Support emergency response activities, provide directions and assistance to the public, and follow Allied Universal standards along with site-specific government location procedures.
