Security Officer Patrol Alarm
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer in Canton, Mississippi, to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer will safeguard the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to alarms, supporting access control, and providing customer service and communication. The role follows site-specific security procedures and policies and calls for integrity, reliability, teamwork, and a people-first approach. The schedule is Monday, Friday, and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.20 per hour. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

- Experience with alarm panels.

- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, and other assigned locations.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as directed.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns.
