About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed patrol officer for a logistics and distribution location in Bloomfield, Connecticut. The officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points and alarm systems, and provide customer service and clear communication. The role supports a safe, professional, and orderly distribution location and includes following site-specific policies and responding to emergencies as appropriate.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
A guard card or license.
Customer service experience.
Alarm panel experience.
Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse, loading dock, trailer yard, parking, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and driver credentials according to site procedures, and maintain accurate entry and incident documentation.
Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents and critical situations, promptly notifying site contacts or emergency services as directed.
Observe shipping and receiving activity and report damaged barriers, lighting concerns, and other facility conditions.
