About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Activity Logs in San Diego, California, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. In this unarmed patrol role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide customer service. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach. The position is full-time, pays $24.00 per hour, and follows a daytime schedule: Tuesday through Thursday, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Possession of a Guard Card/License is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, observing and reporting unusual conditions or activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, helping deter unauthorized entry.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
