As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will interact professionally with employees, visitors, and drivers while using computer or tablet systems as needed. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding incidents, patrol observations, access concerns, and unusual activity.
