As a Security Officer - Access Verification in Ladson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a premier automotive location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by managing access, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry points. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and use technology to support security-related operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at an automotive manufacturing or corporate location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-control logs and records.
  • Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, parking areas, business spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
  • Support emergency response activities in accordance with site-specific procedures and provide clear communication to visitors, employees, and responding personnel.
