Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify badges and visitor access, and conduct routine patrols throughout assigned areas. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge procedures is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and/or maintain access records to help support authorized access throughout the location.
  • Screen incoming vehicles, deliveries, and/or vendors in accordance with post orders, reporting unusual activity, restricted items, and/or access concerns to site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and completing required security-related reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, key operational areas, and the perimeter, noting conditions that could impact operations or security-related procedures.
