About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Verification in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors at a utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, substations, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and site policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials in accordance with site procedures; maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed by established procedures.
  • Report maintenance concerns, damaged fencing, lighting issues, and other conditions that may affect site operations to appropriate personnel.
