Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology and communications location.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and/or notifying site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor and/or contractor access as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Support site operations by communicating with employees, guests, and/or vendors in a professional manner and assisting with routine security-related requests and post orders.
