As an Access Control Officer at a healthcare location, you will help support a welcoming, secure environment by managing visitor access, verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with staff and visitors, and conduct routine patrols to help deter incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare technology location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor documentation in accordance with site requirements.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, access control systems, and visitor activity; document and report unauthorized access attempts, irregularities, and policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including business spaces and perimeter locations, and complete required activity reports.
