As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and supporting visitors and employees with exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and control access at entry points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor and contractor badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals according to site requirements.
  • Screen vehicles, deliveries, and personnel entering restricted areas in accordance with established procedures, escalating unusual or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and emergency procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, business facilities, and perimeter locations to identify and report security-related concerns.
