Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a front desk location within a utilities environment.
  • Monitor access at the front desk by greeting visitors, checking identification and/or credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and communicating entry procedures to employees, contractors, and guests.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the proper chain of command and documenting activity as required.
  • Answer phones, manage incoming inquiries, and support front desk operations by providing directions, coordinating with site contacts, and reporting unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Observe the lobby, reception area, and nearby access points to help to deter unauthorized access and support a professional, orderly environment.
