About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Desk Attendant in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Our Access Control Officers help create a welcoming location by monitoring entry points, verifying badges and credentials, and responding to security-related concerns with professionalism. In this role, you will remain visible, support smooth access for employees and visitors, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document access activity according to location requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access-related issues and reporting unusual activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
