Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, where you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access activity, and report security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, remain visible to help deter incidents, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors. Requirements

  • At least six months of security-related experience is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Control access to the chemical and petrochemical facility by verifying credentials, authorizations, visitor documentation, and contractor requirements in accordance with site protocols.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, receive and direct visitors, maintain required access logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular conditions to appropriate site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency procedures and communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
