As an Access Control Officer supporting cruise operations, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and respond to security-related concerns while delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, crew members, vendors, and visitors while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access points at cruise terminals, gangways, and restricted areas by verifying credentials, screening authorization status, and documenting visitor activity.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entry points, terminals, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and records of access activity, incidents, and shift communications.
