As a Security Officer - Overnight Gas & Electric Company Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Requirements

Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a utilities location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site guidelines.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout operational areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
Support access control, alarm response, and communication with site contacts and/or public responders during routine operations and incident situations.
