About The Position

As a Security Officer Museum in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a prominent public cultural location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide welcoming customer service to visitors and staff. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a public cultural institution.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, public spaces, offices, loading areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor entrances, exits, visitor flow, and restricted areas; verify credentials and direct guests in accordance with site policies.
Respond to incidents, alarms, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
Maintain detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations or security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
