Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Hospital Patrol Officer, where you will drive between assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, patient-related disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate hospital personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report suspicious activity or access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.
