As a Security Officer Perimeter Patrol in Lansing, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Have at least two years of security-related experience.
Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical operations location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and operational zones, reporting unusual conditions and potential hazards according to site procedures.
Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with established entry requirements.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by procedures.
Document patrol activities, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately in required reports and shift logs.
