You will monitor designated areas, conduct routine patrols, assist with entry screening and access control, and respond to security-related concerns with calm communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Have access control/badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service while carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Support entry screening operations by monitoring access points, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, assisting with visitor sign-in requirements, and directing patients, visitors, and staff to appropriate locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with clinical staff and local responders as directed by site procedures.
  • Observe for policy violations and/or concerning behavior, document observations, and communicate updates to supervision and site leadership using required reports and communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
