As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a correctional environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify authorization as directed, and maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Communicate professionally with onsite personnel and emergency response partners while following instructions, maintaining awareness of surroundings, and escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
