About The Position

As a Security Officer Medical Center Access Control in Laguna Hills, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare facility protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access as directed, and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
  • Document incidents, patrol activities, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
