About The Position

As a Security Officer Medical Campus Patrol in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role combines routine patrols, strong communication, and customer service with a team focused on being agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

Must be willing to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
Must be willing to work in or around a hospital morgue.
Must provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor directions, and support orderly movement throughout the location while following established post orders.
Document incidents, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns, and communicate with supervisors, staff, and first responders as needed.
