About The Position

As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

  • Must have 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma/GED.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a financial services location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the lobby, office areas, parking areas, ATM vestibules, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with entry procedures, badge checks, and/or directions while maintaining professional interactions with employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Support opening and closing routines for the location, observe cash-handling and high-traffic areas for suspicious activity, and communicate security-related concerns according to site protocols.
