About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Site in Pooler, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor entry points, screen people and property, and support access activities while maintaining a visible presence. This role offers the chance to provide strong customer service, clear communication, and dependable security-related support as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

A minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the location in accordance with site-specific procedures and access protocols.
Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, screening requirements, and site policies at a logistics and distribution location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report concerns to site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
Monitor entry points, shipping and receiving areas, and other assigned posts to help support authorized access and help to deter unauthorized activity.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting conditions, documenting observations, and communicating security-related concerns according to post instructions.
