We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Security Officer to support our Indianapolis, IN site, 2nd shift, 2pm-10pm. The Site Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding the company’s physical assets, personnel, and proprietary information. This role involves monitoring premises, enforcing security protocols, responding to incidents, and supporting overall risk management strategies. The ideal candidate is vigilant, professional, and well-versed in corporate security practices. Shift coverage as needed, including days, nights, and weekends. Please note: VISA Sponsorship is not available for this position. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of previous experience in corporate security, military, law enforcement, or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
  • Proficiency with surveillance systems and security technologies.
  • Excellent observation and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to wear respirator.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to walk, stand or patrol for extended periods. (up to eight hours)
  • May involve exposure to stressful situations or confrontational individuals
  • Other duties as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • First Aid/CPR/AED Certification.
  • Physical Security Professional.
  • Associate degree.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol and monitor corporate facilities to detect and prevent unauthorized access, theft, or damage.
  • Enforce access control policies and verify credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors to maintain badge accuracy.
  • Monitor security systems including CCTV, alarms, and access control software.
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies, including security breaches, medical emergencies, and fire incidents.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate daily activity logs.
  • Assist with investigations related to internal or external security incidents.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
  • Support the development and implementation of security procedures and training programs.
  • Maintain knowledge of current security technologies, threats, and best practices.
  • Participate in risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate vulnerabilities.
