Requirements

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, verifying visitor credentials, and directing employees, guests, and vendors as appropriate for the location.
  • Monitor access to the lobby and entry points, help to deter unauthorized activity, and document security-related events, visitor activity, and/or unusual conditions in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site contacts, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership when appropriate.
  • Support daily operations within a financial institution location by managing check-in processes, issuing visitor badges or passes, and communicating clearly with staff regarding arrivals, deliveries, and other front desk activity.
