About The Position

As a Security Officer Lobby Reception in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer in an education location, serving as a welcoming presence for students, staff, and visitors. In this stationary role, you will manage access, monitor front desk activity, support security-related procedures, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity, you will help create a professional and responsive environment where people come first.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for an educational location.
  • Monitor visitor entry, check identification and/or credentials, and guide students, staff, guests, and vendors in accordance with front desk access protocols.
  • Answer phones, greet incoming guests, and document arrivals, departures, deliveries, and/or unusual activity in a clear and professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership when needed.
  • Support front desk operations by maintaining awareness of lobby activity, reporting maintenance or access concerns, and helping to deter unauthorized entry or disruptions.
