As a Security Officer Reception Lobby in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic education location as a Front Desk Officer, where you will welcome students, staff, and visitors, monitor access points, and support security-related awareness through professionalism and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk.
  • Monitor lobby and entry activity, greet arriving individuals, verify identification and/or visitor credentials, and help to document guest access in accordance with location policies.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders when appropriate.
  • Answer phones, manage inquiries, and support front desk operations by maintaining logs, writing reports, and communicating security-related information to the appropriate personnel.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and policy violations through attentive front desk presence, professional interactions, and consistent application of location procedures.
