About The Position

As a Security Officer Lobby Reception Position in Kansas City, Kansas, you will serve and safeguard clients while acting as a welcoming presence at a professional location. You will provide customer service, visitor assistance, access support, and clear communication; maintain awareness of security-related activity; respond to routine inquiries; and help support a professional environment. The position is full-time and pays $20.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at a front desk by following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Welcome guests, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and other assigned systems, and report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, requests, and critical situations, following emergency response protocols when appropriate.
Answer incoming calls, provide directions and general information, and communicate professionally with building personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.
