About The Position

As a Security Officer Lobby Reception Coordinator in Jersey City, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, visitor processing, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor lobby and entrance activity, verify visitor credentials and appointments, and help to deter unauthorized access in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to location protocols.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, and support employees, guests, and vendors while maintaining accurate logs, reports, and front desk records.
  • Observe cameras, access control systems, and other front desk technology to identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns to the appropriate contact.
