Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities for a commercial real estate location.
  • Greet visitors, tenants, and vendors, monitor lobby activity, and assist with access control, visitor check-in, and badge distribution according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with property management and/or emergency personnel when needed.
  • Answer phones, provide directions and general assistance, and support front desk operations by documenting visitor information, incident details, and other required reports.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior by maintaining an attentive presence at the front desk and following established post orders and property procedures.
