About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Lobby Officer for an internet company in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In this front-desk security role at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will welcome visitors, manage access procedures, monitor activity, and provide customer service. You will serve as a professional and approachable presence, address security-related concerns, and communicate with employees and guests. The schedule is Friday and Saturday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The starting pay is $28.00 per hour. Paid orientation and paid training are provided.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures, visitor-management processes, and access-control protocols.
Greet visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, maintain accurate entry records, and direct guests according to site requirements.
Monitor front-desk communications, alarms, and access-control activity, and report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility issues to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow established emergency-response procedures, and contact appropriate resources as needed.
Maintain a professional front-desk presence that helps deter unauthorized access while supporting a welcoming environment.
