As a Security Officer Lobby Access Coordinator in Hueytown, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Professional, where you will help manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, monitor assigned areas, and support a professional, welcoming location experience. This role offers the opportunity to stay visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, process visitors, and document deliveries, vendors, and/or contractors entering the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unauthorized access, facility issues, and other security-related conditions.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, visitor records, and incident documentation to support daily operations and access control requirements.
