About The Position

As a Security Officer Loading Dock Gate in LOS ANGELES, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will contribute to a welcoming environment while working with a reliable, agile, and innovative Allied Universal team that puts people first, delivers through teamwork, and acts with integrity.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A Guard Card or license is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity or property concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report maintenance, access control, or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
