About The Position

As a Security Officer Identity Checkpoint in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, you will serve and safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and vendors. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, clear communication, deterring security-related incidents, teamwork, and integrity. This is a full-time position scheduled Sunday and Monday through Thursday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $19.07 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, security policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized individuals according to site requirements.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Accurately document daily activities, observations, incidents, and access-related information, and communicate relevant details to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
