Requirements

  • Ability to work in a hospital morgue environment is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access screening protocols, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Screen patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors at designated entry points in accordance with site policies and approved screening procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and other assigned areas to help support orderly access, visitor flow, and compliance with location rules.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and the perimeter, as required by the post, while observing and reporting unusual activity and/or conditions.
