About The Position

Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Hospital in Boston MA. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 11 PM - 7 AM. Starting pay is $21.23 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training. Candidate Must be 21+ Years Old and Must Have 2+ Years of Previous Security/Healthcare Experience. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have 2 or more years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, provide directions and assistance, and report policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support a professional environment by following post orders, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and maintaining awareness of activity that may require a security-related response.
