As a Security Officer Hospital in Ojai, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will support patients, visitors, and staff through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach while responding to daily needs with professionalism and reliability.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Vaccinations required for hospital site assignment.
  • Ability to work in a hospital environment that includes morgue access is required.
  • Ability to restrain individuals is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor directions and/or screening processes, and document observed activity, incidents, and policy concerns according to post instructions.
