As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Response in Sonora, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hospital vaccinations are required.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observed conditions to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general questions, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Support healthcare staff during urgent situations by following post orders, documenting incidents, and helping coordinate an organized response with appropriate personnel.
