As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Screener in a government location, you will help support screening operations, monitor access points, and assist with x-ray screening as needed. This role combines strong customer service and communication with a visible presence that helps reduce security-related concerns. Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen people, bags, packages, and/or personal items in accordance with post instructions and required screening protocols, and report prohibited items or unusual findings to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor entry points and access activity, verify identification and/or credentials as directed, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns, observations, and/or interactions as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and perimeter locations when assigned, noting conditions that may require follow-up by site contacts or emergency services.
