As a Security Officer High School Patrol Screening in East Meadow, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the property. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, clear communication, and being part of a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity every day.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public school district location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through appropriate site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, administrative offices, parking areas, playgrounds, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, visitor activity, and/or after-hours access while supporting established school district rules and government location requirements.
  • Assist with security-related support during arrival, dismissal, events, and/or other daily campus activities while maintaining a professional presence.
