As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional service and communication. You will respond to situations with professionalism, assist with access-related needs, and contribute to a caring environment. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be willing to receive required hospital vaccinations.
  • Be willing to work in and around a hospital morgue.
  • Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with directions and supporting a welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
