About The Position

As a Security Officer Security Support in Newport, RI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide compassionate customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to evolving situations with integrity, and support a caring environment through teamwork, reliability, and an agile approach.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established hospital protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
