Requirements

Must have at least 3 years of either military, law enforcement, corrections or armed security experience
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document visitor, resident, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site-specific requirements.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
