About The Position

Allied Universal is currently hiring a full-time Security Officer for a hospital in Boston, MA. This role involves safeguarding clients in healthcare settings, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, and supporting a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The position requires providing exceptional customer service, clear communication, and professional response to routine concerns. Requirements

Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
Be at least 21+ years old.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and help support a welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
Prepare accurate reports and maintain communication with site leadership, clinical staff, and Allied Universal management regarding incidents and security-related concerns.
