About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Site - Afternoon Shift in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, waiting areas, and other designated posts, assisting with visitor direction, access-related questions, and observation of security-related concerns.
  • Support Allied Universal standards by reporting hazards, policy concerns, and/or maintenance issues, and following post orders and client-directed procedures throughout each shift.
