As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol - Weekdays in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and communication. This role is ideal for someone who values teamwork, acts with integrity, and brings a caring, reliable, and innovative approach to each shift.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to comply with hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals, as permitted by law and site policy.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, helping to support orderly operations across the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to identify and report unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or disruptions while maintaining a courteous presence.
  • Document incidents, observations, and security-related concerns, and communicate with supervisors, staff, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
