About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol - Weekdays in Vidalia, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Proof of required vaccinations is required for this hospital location.
  • A minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience, or 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field is required.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, lobbies, and restricted areas, assisting with visitor direction, credential checks, and policy compliance in a professional manner.
  • Support healthcare location operations by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious activity, and by following post orders and incident response protocols.
