As a Security Officer - Healthcare Facility - Weekdays in Christiansburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
  • Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation efforts and notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas to help to control access, observe visitor activity, and/or report security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activity and communicate relevant information to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
